Middle of the pack finish fuels development

The DinoMights Squirts team fought to the end of the 2018-19 season, finishing a respectable third place in District 1 play. With the addition of a mid-season championship victory in the Langford Tournament, the team ended the year with a record of 6-6-1.

The team developed skills, teamwork and built chemistry throughout the season. One highlight of the year was a "pop-up practice" with the JV boys team from Minnehaha Academy. The team mixed it up with the RedHawks, which gave them the chance to experience the game in a new way and be part of the playmaking with these more skilled players. The impact was seen on the ice in their remaining games.

The Squirts were led through the coaching of staff member James Fields, and volunteer coaches John Evans, Kristian Evans. Many thanks to the volunteer coaches for sharing their knowledge and love of the game and to our parent volunteers, "Grampa Gary" (the kids loved it when he tied their skates) and Mr. Rickey Mitchell.
