DESCRIPTION

  • The defender gaps up the F1 (red), and then the defender and F1 (red) take the puck up the ice, exchanging passes back and forth.
  • At the far blue line, the defender keeps the puck and quickly gets to the middle of the ice and looks to hit the F2 (black) who is skating up the ice.
  • The defender follows their pass up the ice.
  • As the defender passes to F2 (black), F1 (red) continues up the strong side of the ice and gets a pass from the coach in the strong side corner for shot #1 on the net.
  • F2 (black), who just skated up the ice on the far side, will then go in for shot #2.
  • F1 (black) will then retrieve a 3rd puck from the corner and pass low to high to the defender following up on the play for shot #3.
  • This drill is being mirrored on both sides of the ice at the same time.
