On January 2, 2026, USA Hockey announced the rosters for the 2026 U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Hockey Teams live on NBC’s Today Show. Minnesota is home to ten athletes, including four members on the men’s team, five on the women’s team and one on the Paralympic team.

The 25-player men's roster has a star-studded Minnesota foundation. Maple Grove native and Minnesota Wild defenseman Brock Faber is one of only two players with previous Olympic experience.  Lakeville’s Jake Oettinger will defend the crease, while Brock Nelson of Warroad and Woodbury’s Jake Guentzel will lead the offense. All four players were members of the 2025 4 Nations Face-Off Roster and are determined to bring home gold. The U.S. men will open Olympic competition against Latvia on Feb. 12 at 2:10 p.m. CT.

Minnesota brings leadership and experience to the women’s team, leading all states in representation on the 23-player roster. The blue line will be anchored by four-time Olympian and Roseville native Lee Stecklein, who brings a total of nine IIHF Women’s World gold medals. The offense will rely on Plymouth native Kelly Pannek, who returns for her third Olympics. Former Miss Hockey Award winners will also suit up, including Grace Zumwinkle, competing in her second Olympics, and first-time Olympian Taylor Heise. Stecklein, Pannek, Zumwinkle, and Heise are all teammates on the Minnesota Frost and will bring their homegrown roots to Milan this February. Chanhassen native and current Ottawa Charge player Rory Guilday will also hit the ice in her Olympic debut this year. The U.S. women’s tournament begins with the preliminary round game against Czechia on Feb. 5 at 9:40 a.m. CT.

Liam Cunningham of St.Thomas Academy, will represent the MN Wild Sled Team as he competes for the U.S. Paralympic Sled Hockey Team. Team USA's first Paralympic game takes place on March 7 at 10:05 a.m. CT. against host Italy.
